Pinpoint Privacy Policy

Overview

Pinpoint is a Chrome extension that lets design and development teams annotate live web pages with feedback. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What Data We Collect

1. Account Information (signed-in users only)

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address via Google OAuth. This information is stored in your Supabase account and locally in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local). Guest users who join via a share link are not asked to sign in and no account data is collected.

2. Review Sessions

When you create a review, we store the following in our database (Supabase):

• The URL and domain of the page being reviewed
• A session name, sort preference, and timestamps

3. Annotations

For each annotation you place, we store:

• Your comment text
• The annotation's severity (bug, nitpick, or suggestion) and status (open, fixed, or verified)
• The CSS selector, HTML tag name, and the first ~100 characters of text content of the element you annotated — used to restore the pin's position when the review is reopened
• The X/Y coordinates of the annotation on the page
• Timestamps
